NON-PROFIT STAFFING IS OUR FULL TIME JOB.

So it doesn’t have to be yours!

Non profit friendly

We’ve worked hard to make sure that our entire process and pricing structure remains the most non-profit friendly in this industry. Give us a call! Let us share with you why more and more non-profit organizations, schools, and businesses are turning to Shepherd Staff for all their staffing positions.

Veteran Experience

Not only are we the veteran faith-based search firm in this industry, our entire team brings decades of solid, faithful, non-profit expertise and ministerial experience to each and every search. We leverage decades of staffing and pastoral leadership to ensure we are connecting non-profit organizations with like-minded candidates that are the best possible fit for each other.

WE really are different!

Shepherding is in our name – that’s what makes us different. We shepherd non-profit boards and executive leadership through staffing placements, organizational health structures, and leadership development, according to the unique needs of the organization.

We guarantee our results

Our guarantee hasn’t changed since we started serving in faith-based staffing in 2006. If the candidate we place doesn’t stay on staff for 12 months, no matter the reason, we’ll redo the search for free. Since this is now standard across all search firms, it’s worth asking, “How often do you have to honor that guarantee?” Our track record is far better than others in this regard. Our consultants will be happy to explain some of the reasons why.

Meet our team

Our consultants, associates, and affiliates have significant non-profit and ministerial experience and are able to leverage that expertise to help you discover a greater quantity and quality of candidates than what is normally possible.

Jake Rhoads

Jake, the firstborn of a full-time pastor, has spent his entire life immersed in ministry. His experiences include serving in various roles within multiple churches and taking on numerous leadership opportunities. This lifelong exposure to church life has given Jake a deep and ever-growing understanding of how God works through His people.

Jake earned his undergraduate degree from Wheaton College, where he anticipated following his family’s footsteps into full-time ministry. However, a profound encounter with God through Daniel 12 reshaped his expectations, calling him to a deeper faith and a broader vision for his life. This journey eventually led him to Shepherd Staff, where his ministry background seamlessly combined with his passion for consulting and management.

Drawing from his experiences in Christian organizations, Jake continues to explore how believers can live out their faith in meaningful ways.

Now a consultant with Shepherd Staff, Jake lives in Wheaton, IL. He is a devoted Chicago Blackhawks fan, enjoys engaging with art that speaks truth, and cherishes the relationships he has been blessed to share.
